Introducing Retypd

Why we started Retypd, what Autofil does, and how we work with a small number of enterprise design partners at a time.

Every large organisation has an integration layer that never appears on an architecture diagram. It is made of people — skilled, expensive people who read a value in one system and type it into another, all day, because the two were never connected.

We started Retypd to retire that work, safely. Today we are introducing the company, and Autofil, the product we have built to do it.

What Autofil does

Autofil is a computer agent for the work between enterprise systems. A process owner does a task once — in the browser, on the desktop, over Citrix or on a 3270 green screen — and talks through the judgement calls as they go. Autofil turns that demonstration into a Playbook: a plain-language description of the work that the business can read, test and sign off.

Then it does the work, under your controls — set and recorded in Retypd Governance:

  • Policy outside the model. Limits, approvals and segregation of duties are enforced before every action, by rules the agent can neither see nor change.
  • Autonomy is earned. Every workflow starts in observe mode and moves up through five levels only on evidence you define — and steps back down on drift.
  • Every action, accounted for. Each field Autofil reads or writes is recorded with its source, the rule that allowed it and the person who approved it.

Why now

Two things changed. Models can finally read a screen the way a trained operator does — by meaning, not coordinates. And enterprises have learned, from a decade of brittle bots, that automation without governance costs more than it saves. We think the second point matters as much as the first, so we built the controls before we built the speed.

How we work

We work with a small number of enterprises at a time, as design partners. A Retypd team works inside your operation from week one, maps where the hours go, and takes the first agent into supervised production within six weeks — on your infrastructure, under your controls.

If your organisation has work that no one wants and everyone depends on, we would like to hear about it. Talk to us, or read how we engage.

Put the ideas to work.

We will walk through how this applies to your operation — with your workflows, your controls and your numbers.
